2024

We worked with Argento Gallery to create a virtual museum for their collection of portraits by 17th-century Dutch old masters. This Moyosa Space became an essential part of their website and is used to educate the public and connect potential customers to the gallery.

What we did

Our team built a gallery that captured the essence of the collection within the framework Moyosa Spaces. Besides portraits, two statues are also presented. We used photogrammetry to scan and model these two pieces. We scanned them using an iPhone and RealityScan, then manually fine-tuned the models before implementation. By collaborating with NOISE, who provided the entrance wall design, we created a space that is visually appealing and different from our other galleries.

A key takeaway from this project was that scanning dark, glossy frames is challenging, but now we know how to approach this process for future projects.

Result

The project was successful, with the 3D scans and realistic gallery environment standing out. Argento Gallery was happy with the result, especially the atmosphere and the way the artworks were displayed. This project helped us improve our photogrammetry process, making future projects more efficient. Overall, the virtual gallery has become a valuable asset for Argento, enhancing their online presence and engaging a broader audience.
