Design and print your own postcard

Sending postcards during vacation can be a fun but odd task, ranging from searching through generic postcards at tourist shops to hoping they arrive on time. The JTI Postcard Experience aimed to streamline and personalize this process by enabling travelers to design and print their own postcards in airports worldwide. Although some individuals possess an inherent design talent, digital design tools can be difficult and time-consuming to grasp. To address this, our team developed an easy-to-use tool, providing travelers with a fun, intuitive, and efficient way to create postcards during their airport downtime.

Designed for ease of use

Users could personalize their cards by choosing from various landmarks, colors, animals, and patterns. The cards were printed on the spot and sent to their loved ones shortly after. This feature was integrated into the unit, giving users the feeling of sending a postcard by mail and allowing them to see how many others had done the same.

As this tool was designed for dedicated machines at the airport and web compatibility was not a requirement, we chose to develop it using Unity. Unity provided flexibility in building the User Interface (UI), which was essential for creating an experience that was clear and straightforward for users of all technical skill levels.

Connecting JTI with their audience

The JTI Postcard Experience combined the ease of use and flexibility of digital media with the nostalgic, tangible charm of physical postcards. This approach not only provided travelers with a fun and engaging way to send their greetings but also helped our client connect more meaningfully with their audience and boost brand engagement.
